Furnishing Futures provides a full redesign and refurbishment service for women’s refuge providers in London, where funding is available, transforming what can be institutionalised buildings into warm, welcoming and safe spaces for survivors and their children through the power of trauma-informed design. This can support women to access refuge services by making the lived environment more homely, accessible and suitable to their needs, helping them to access life-saving support.
Furnishing Futures is uniquely placed to provide interior design services to the domestic abuse sector due to our model of combining social work with interior design. Our projects create safe, secure and homely spaces that support vulnerable women and children’s recovery and help them transition into moving on accommodation.
