In this inspiring session , interior and architectural designer, Tanya Jones will focus on small, practical shifts that make a room feel calmer, safer, and easier to live in without big spend pressure. The session explores layout and flow, visual noise, clutter, and subtle clashes that can unsettle a space and how small adjustments can bring greater ease and clarity.
What is Design Lab: Each Design Lab focuses on a single theme and looks at how small thoughtful changes can make a real difference to how a space feels and works. The emphasis is on clarity over consumption and on choices that support real life rather than perfect homes.
Design Lab is intentionally informal. Grab a coffee from our neighbours Pavilion Bakery, pull up a chair, and gather around the design table. Sessions combine professional insight with open, easy conversation, with plenty of space to ask questions, share reflections, and learn together.
This isn’t about trends or big transformations. It’s about working with what you already have, understanding your space more deeply, and feeling more confident when you do make a purchase or small change.
About Tanya Jones: Tanya Jones founded the Home Design Service for Fired Earth Interiors and now runs her own studio. Her work has been featured in The Sunday Times Style, HGTV, Homes & Gardens, among others.

Accessibility information
The Atrium is located in an old industrial building. We have a toilet on the ground floor but it is not wheelchair accessible and we don't have dedicated baby change facilities. We recognise that this is a significant barrier and does not reflect the welcoming, inclusive space we wish to offer. We wish this were not the case and are truly sorry if this prevents you from joining us for an event.
Additional Information
The Atrium retail store will be open from 11am until 5pm, selling a range of beautiful furnishings, homewares, gifts and beauty. All proceeds from this event and from sales are in aid of Furnishing Futures charity and go directly towards our work creating healing homes for survivors of domestic abuse.
Finding us
The Atrium is an easy place to reach. It’s just a 5-minute walk from Lea Bridge station just one stop from Stratford. If you’re coming by bus, the 55 and 56 from Hackney stop at Lea Bridge Station, and the W19 from Walthamstow stops only 2 minutes away. There are two pay-and-display car parks on Argall Avenue nearby.
