Saddle up and join team Furnishing Futures for an unforgettable adventure in September 2026.
The iconic London to Paris cycle takes you from Blackheath in London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris - a total of 190 miles and 8,400ft of climbing over 3 days, all to raise funds for Furnishing Futures work to create healing homes for domestic abuse survivors.
You’ll depart from Greenwich Observatory and head to Newhaven where you’ll catch the ferry across to Dieppe, before spending two days edging your way ever closer to the iconic Eiffel tower and a victory dance!
You'll have the opportunity to experience magnificent English countryside and picturesque French rural landscapes, all from your saddles!
The route is a mixture of on-road and traffic-free sections, running primarily on country lanes and quiet roads interspersed with sections of traffic-free paths, making it an accessible route for beginner long-distance cyclists.
Dates: 10-14 September 2026
Riders will be required to arrive in Blackheath in the evening on the 10th of September for a pre-ride briefing and dinner with your new cycling companions. We'll then set off on Friday the 11th of September for three days of cycling, returning to London in the morning on Monday the 14th of September.
Day one of cycling (60 miles, 3,600 ft)
We'll set out from Greenwich Observatory after an early start before weaving our way out of England's Capital.
As we venture further south, the roads will quieten and become leafier as we pass through the High Weald AONB and the far Southern tip of the South Downs National Park before eventually meeting the coast and onto the ferry at Newhaven.
We will end the day on French soil in Dieppe, ready for our first taste of cycling on French roads in the morning!
Day two of cycling (70 miles, 2,000 ft)
We begin today with 4 miles on the road before finding our way onto one of France's many dedicated cycle paths - 28 miles of wonderful traffic free tarmac which gets us nicely out to Northern France's farmland!
After what will have felt like
forever, we will be back on the roads, although thankfully still very little traffic will interrupt us! 13 miles of undulating hills await before lunch! The afternoon will see us back on cycle path for another stint before tackling the slightly busier roads into Beauvais.
Day three of cycling (59 miles, 2,800 ft)
Our final day will begin with the most challenging terrain of the trip, the first 10 miles or so having 3 or 4 sustained climbs, thankfully none of which are too steep!
We'll ride through the Vixen Francais national park and along the bank of the mighty River Seine before navigating the Paris road network towards our final destination, the Eiffel tower!
We'll then have a much-deserved celebratory dinner and spend the night in Paris before departing at your own leisure in the morning.
